Race, Pride and Arrogance

Look around you. Look at the rain that has been poured onto Earth that grows the various types of plants and trees. Look at the river that has been flowed for you as a means of transportation and communication. Look at the stars in the sky which you use for navigation. Look at the appearance and the disappearance of the moon and the sun which you use them to determine time.  Look at the animals which some of them you use for food and some you use for clothing and to cover yourself. Look at the sea where you obtain your protein and precious jewels. Whether or not you try to calculate the grace of god, you’ll never be able to count.

Yet, man defy god because of their arrogance. Man thinks that they can be whatever they want to be and do whatever they want to. What should be kept in mind is that they can’t do anything, in fact they’ll never be born, if it wasn’t for god. Man are always arrogant thinking they can accomplish wonders. I tell you what they accomplished so far- poverty and oppression. Allah is the most gracious, for he never left us alone to figure out ourselves what is the best way to live, he did communicated with us by sending down the Quran which contains the right way of living so that everybody can enjoy and live a beautiful life, in a world without oppression and poverty. Allah is the one who created us, therefore god knows how we function, and therefore god knows what is the best way to live.

And still, man think they can live peacefully and flourish without the help of god. Apparently, even in the 21st century, there are still wars and oppression going on.

Man was nothing, but god elevated some people to a higher degree than others. It is through success and achievements these races have pride in themselves. Through pride they are tend to serve their ego. Since arrogance appears when there is ego, they objected the one true god. Humans are forgetful. They forgot how hard was it for them during their beginning of civilization. As a result, they follow evolution without evaluation.

Look at the nations destroyed by god. God could have destroyed us too, but god gave us time so that we will return to god. Did you learn anything?

Are our hearts dead-locked from observing the signs of power of god?

There’s a Malay proverb saying ‘seperti padi, semakin berisi, semakin merunduk‘. Such as a paddy plant, the more contains, more ducked. I cannot agree more with that. The truth is that the more successful we are, the more we should strive to be lower, not thinking that we are up and they are down, or even thinking that we are rightfully at our level.

Assuredly, Allah knows what they conceal and what they declare. Indeed, He does not like the arrogant. (16:23)

Allah has set a seal upon their hearts and upon their hearing, and over their vision is a veil. And for them is a great punishment. (2:7)

In their hearts is disease, so Allah has increased their disease; and for them is a painful punishment because they [habitually] used to lie. And when it is said to them, “Do not cause corruption on the earth,” they say, “We are but reformers.”. Unquestionably, it is they who are the corrupters, but they perceive [it] not. (2:10-12)

Then do they not reflect upon the Qur’an, or are there locks upon [their] hearts? (47:24)

And Allah has made for you, from that which He has created, shadows and has made for you from the mountains, shelters and has made for you garments which protect you from the heat and garments which protect you from your [enemy in] battle. Thus does He complete His favor upon you that you might submit [to Him]. (16:81)
