In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.
I know the world isn’t all sunshine and rainbows like we all used to think it is. It is scary, every time seeing the news inevitably informing bad things. Genocide, homicide, suicide are relevant to almost all societies in the world today. Abraham Lincoln once said: “We live in the midst of alarms; anxiety beclouds the future; we expect some new disaster with each newspaper we read”. With the advent of social media, we are knocked by bad news every hour. How is it possible to ever achieve peace?
I’ve always been thinking about life, our purpose we are sent down here. I’ve been learning, thinking and discovering endlessly about our nature. One crucial thing that I’ve noticed is that, because we live in such a luxurious and pampered atmosphere, most people don’t see the true nature of things. To give a simple example- why is the grass green? To some, like me, thought that it’s just the way God wants it to be. As we learn more, the truth is that the grass is green because of the green pigment in the chloroplast of a plant cell. This gave me an entirely different view on life. Made me reflect objectively about things. I have a harder time believing in coincidences. Like the greenness of the grass- inspired me there’s a reason for everything. Now, for an advance example- politics. In this age of degeneration, people view politics in such a way that they think politics are just for those who are ‘political’/liars/manipulators/demagogues. Some view it as for the royalties only. Some hate politics. Some separate their life from politics! Believe it or not, humans are political by nature. Hating politics means hating human nature. And hating human nature means giving up in humanity. I don’t think we should evade politics. Yes, it could get messy sometimes but it is the only way towards a better life. NGOs, activism, journalism etc. also play roles in making the world a better place but the final say is in politics. Like it or not, every human must take part in politics in order to achieve what they think is best for them (ideology). Wishful thinking is not going to get us anywhere.
I generally study civilizations- how it works, its features and behaviours, why they rise and fall. The meaning of civilization is broader than you think it is. As mentioned just now, most people don’t see the true nature of things, including the nature of civilizations. I believe that my study on civilizations can have huge impacts on human lives, especially the way they think. With my philosophy of civilizations, one can see the true nature of it, hence their purpose in life is clearer and more objective. Because, we all strive for something, which i call ‘ideology’. The ideology influences every aspect of our lives. It is the root of every civilization and it is what that separates on from the other. Knowing this means knowing how we should civilise.
This is just a general idea about my ideas. Insya Allah, I will publish a book which i dedicate my life to called ‘The Science and Art of Civilizations’. It will be a universal book, not having partisanship to any kind of ideology, culture, country, region, religion, or belief. It is something that everyone can follow, regardless whether their ideology is good or evil. Despite that, I believe it will be a guideline to a better world because I endorse people to choose the right ideology.
Meanwhile, do read my articles in this blog and feel free to criticise and give your own opinions. Wisdom is like a treasure underground that has many obstacles to it. If you dig from one side only, you’ll never find the treasure. You need to see where other people dig too, and work together. This means we need to view things from many angles if we want to achieve wisdom. I’m also a poet and artist. Check out my other blog.
